Overview
Greenstone LLC announced a nationwide recall of Citalopram 10mg Tablets (100-count bottle) with the lot number FI0510058-A after a possible labeling error was noticed. Bottles which had been labeled Citalopram Lot # FI0510058-A may contain Finasteride, an active ingredient that may cause potential harm to anyone who is unaware they are taking it.
The Greenstone LLC recall includes the following medications:
- Citalopram 10mg Tablets (100-count bottle) Lot # FI0510058-A
- Finasteride 5mg Tablets (90-count bottle) Lot # FI0510058-A

Finasteride Complications
Finasteride is used for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia. However, recent studies suggest there may be a link between the use of Finasteride and congenital birth defects. Women who unknowingly take Finasteride while pregnant may increase the risk of their child developing severe, life-threatening birth defects.
